2017 Success: Flying Piston Builder Charity Breakfast
Sunday August 6, 2017 – Flying Piston Charity Breakfast was an epic happening at the Buffalo Chip Campground outside of Sturgis, SD. It brought together the riding public with custom builders and moto-celebs.
In its third year, this charity event raises funds and consciousness increasing access to metal arts and mechanical training for both young people and returning veterans interested in the motorcycle industry as a career.
If you follow the J&P Cycles Ultimate Builder series then you would have met numerous Ultimate Builders at the breakfast like Niki Martin of Roy’s Toys Customs, Jesse Srpan of Raw Iron Choppers and Dalton Walker of Split Image Kustoms, Krystal Hess of Motorcycle Missions and Chris Moos of Misfit Industries. These builders consistently participate in the lifestyle and give back to the community.
“We would like to thank all the participating builders and riders that support the independent spirit for riding free and building this unique industry and lifestyle,” said Marilyn Stemp of Iron Trader News.
To that end, two awards were presented from proceeds of the 2016 Breakfast: to Krystal Hess, founder of Motorcycle Missions; and Ryan Jones, a local high school student who was mentored by Jason Mook of Black Hills Cycles.
Motorcycle Missions is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation helping Veterans and First Responders with PTSD find hope and healing through motorcycle therapy.
The Flying Piston Builder Charity Breakfast meet & greet and silent auction was organized by Jeff Najar of Biker Pros and Marilyn Stemp of Iron Trader News.
2017 Success: Flying Piston Builder Charity Breakfast – “We’re so grateful for the stellar participation, especially from our sponsors. We can’t wait till next year!” said Stemp.
